New Year's Eve, far from home
So far, in fact, that we'll be celebrating the New Year 13 hours before Britain, and 18 hours before Upstate New York. Weird.
A humbling experience today, visiting the Vodafone store to organise mobile internet access for our laptop. They're obviously used to dealing with customers much younger, and more confident, than me. Some progress, I think - we'll see once we get away from the relative security of hotel systems.
New Year's Day in and around Christchurch tomorrow, then we meet our new (motor)home and it's off into the unknown.
Happy New Year to all.
Can't believe you are so far away that you'll be half a day into the New Year before we start our own celebrations here! Hope you enjoy your first day in your new motorhome!

Just thought you would like to know that is hovering around zero here in Abbots Langley. I am checking this blog daily and can't wait for the next episode!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys, Boy does it all sound great! When can I retire? For now I'll have to try to be content with watching New Year's fireworks from a rooftop in a snowstorm at 15 degrees F, with my Obama Steering Committee friends. We're having fun planning our Inauguration trip. Barb, your four year Obama calendar is IN and waiting for you if you should ever return from heaven. Cheers! Andrea
